DESCRIPTION
Burlington Barbell Club is excited to host another event to close out the spring, welcome summer, and start the new 2024/2025 season. It is the first open Ontario competition in the summer after the Canadian Championships, and serves as a qualifier for the upcoming Ontario Senior Championships in November.

THE VENUE
Crossfit Connection is located in Burlington, and is home to Burlington Barbell Club led by Coach Michael D'Angelo. The venue is located in the industrial section of Burlington, with the ability to host several types of group classes, such as Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting. This location serves as an ideal space to host a competition of this nature. There are several places that athletes can get food and coffee that require a short amount of driving to get to.

DESCRIPTION​

Sudbury Weightlifting Club is proud to host the Young Hercules, a competition dedicated to all aspiring weightlifting athletes ages 16 and under to compete against one another. Medals are available for the highest ranked athletes, with best lifter awards available for the best performing athletes of the day!

VENUE

Sudbury Weightlifting Club is the most well known weightlifting club in the city, headed by coach Alex Fera who has a vast passion for Olympic Weightlifting. Accommodations are close by to the venue, at the Town Place Suites Sudbury at the Marriott, located at 1710 The Kingsway, in Sudbury. Several restaurants are near by as well, such as Tim Hortons, Harveys, Swiss Chalet, Mucho Burrito and others.

DESCRIPTION​

Summer fest is an open competition set in the end of August for athletes to prepare for upcoming fall competitions, and is in the qualifying period of Ontario Senior Championships and approximate qualifying period for Senior Canadian Championships.

Summer fest has been selected by WCH as an international qualifying event.

VENUE

Toronto Weightlifting is based out of the elite athletic performance centre, Kanama High Performance, which is located on Cosentino drive in Scarborough. Its located in the industrial district, with several restaurants on Progress and Midland Avenue, a short drive away.

DESCRIPTION

Variety Village is excited to host the 1st elite competition of the 2024/2025 season, which is the Ontario Classic. This event is within the qualifying period of Senior Provincial Championships, Winterlift towards the end of March, and in the approximate qualifying period of Senior and Junior National Championships.

THE VENUE
Variety Village is a large community and sports recreation centre located on Danforth Avenue in Scarborough. It has previously hosted large weightlifting competitions for national athletes, such as the recent Canadian Senior Championships. Its large indoor track allows for multiple athletes to warm up and compete at the same time.
